Robin van Persie has not been definitely stay at Arsenal because his contract would soon run out in 2013.
Arsenal certainly did not want to make the same mistake that is losing its star players. Previously they had lost three key players, namely Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona, Gael Clichy and Samir Nasri to Manchester City.
With the current condition of Arsenal, Van Persie had revealed that he was not sure whether to stay at Arsenal. The former Feyenoord player was also not willing to talk about a contract extension with Arsenal. However, as reported by The Daily Express, Arsenal will try to negotiate with the captain's next month.
Arsenal's Van Persie worry will leave the Emirates in the January transfer window. Van Persie said he was not willing to extend the contract until the season ended.
Arsenal did some ways to convince van Persie to stay at the Emirates. According to the news, Arsenal will spend the duration of the contract for four years and raise his salary to 90 thousand pounds per week.
