Frank Lampard England captaincy

On match trials, the UK will be against the European champions and World Cup in Spain at Wembley stadium, London, Saturday (12/11) local time.

Coach Fabio Capello has decided to back up Terry and Lampard handed the armband on. Chelsea midfielder was delighted to be captain though probably only in one game.

"Leading the country team at Wembley is a very special moment for me and certainly I am very happy to get this honor. We will confront the world's best teams and they probably played the best football right now," said Lampard in the media.

"We will be playing at home and we are a British team. We are confident can provide the best resistance and it is not impossible to beat them."

"I do not feel burdened with this task although probably only in a single games only. This is the second time I became captain of England and at the age of 33 years already, I've been happy if the remains could be core players."
