Michael Owen Wasn't Ready To Retire

Michael Owen stated that he was not thinking of hanging up his boots. He still wanted to play longer for Manchester United.

Owen will turn 32 years old in December. He is currently recovering after suffering an injury during Manchester United against Otelul Galati in the Champions League at Old Trafford in early November.

Age is no longer young and the susceptibility to injury did not make the former Liverpool and Real Madrid player is thinking of hanging up his boots. He wants to play a few more years, as did Ryan Giggs is still playing up to the age of 37 digits.

"I'm 31 years old, so I still think I still have a few years if you look at players like Giggs," said Owen told Sky Sports News.
"And when they play in their mid to late thirties, that's good for us all."

Owen's contract with the 'Red Devils' will end on June 30, 2012. Nevertheless, he suggests not want to leave football because he still loves the club Manchester United today.

"But I think there are still some years away for me and I still love this game. How can you not love it when you play for big clubs like Manchester United?" Owen said.
